Euthanasia and the mosquito bites of the soul

The right to live a life without pain: this is now dignity.
To live with pain and keep one's head up: that used to be dignity.

Euthanasia is far bigger than most thoughts, and a sensible person would shut up on such an argument.

Yet one can not avoid being reminded of a wonderful little thought. That pain and suffering are part of life. As we eradicate them our tolerance for them thins out. The less we drink, the more we suffer the effects of alcohol. The less we suffer, the less we tolerate suffering.
Until we put a question mark on the value of life itself because of the inevitable "mosquito bites of the soul and body".

Euthanasia and the mosquito bites of the soul.
